Definitions
Taxable Status Date: All real property shall be assessed in the city or town in which it is
situated according to its condition and ownership as of such date.
Tentative Roll date: Assessments are published so that assessments, market value and
related information can be checked, as well as review the assessments of other properties in the community. Corrections can be made to this preliminary roll.
Grievance Day: Held the 4th Tuesday of May that allows a taxpayer to contest their assessment. For additional information:

Final Roll date: Assessments are published so that assessments, market value and
